July 2008 was spent exploring, sketching and photographing the incredible scenery and wildlife that is part of Natural Habitat Adventure's 'Hidden Alaska'. Beginning in Fairbanks; through Denali to Kantishna Roadhouse; a train ride to Talkeetna; the snow covered mountain top at Alyeska; Glaciers, Puffins and breeching whales on Resurrection Bay at Seward; overnight on Fox Island, and a float plane ride to Katmai and the bears at Brooks Falls - the adventure was surreal.
Now at home in my studio, I am re-living the joys of the trip and creating art work from the wonderful images and memories.

Grizzly Bears catching salmon at Brooks Falls, Denali - 'the great one', and breeching Humpback Whales on Resurrection Bay were a few of the amazing sights of Alaska.
